چکیده

The present study reported the preparation of solid phases from various available and cheap natural sources represented by activated carbon to remove polluting dye Congo Red (CR). Activated derived leaves Consocarpus plant (C/AC) Ziziphus Spina-Christi (Z/AC) Myrtus (M/AC) chemical activation. were diagnosed examined using FTIR, FESE, XRD. results indicated that best amount for phase was 0.25 g three used against dye, optimal concentration CR 100 mg L-1, optimum acidity function equal 5 with a volume 25 mL, as optimization experiments flow rate eluting solution 0.5 ml min-1. elution processes carried out several solvents different in polarity it found 8 mL DMSO achieved percentage recovery (%R). Also, adsorption capacity based on conditions obtained applying Langmuir Freundlich isotherm models, qmax, according model, (21.74, 23.53, 22.17) g-1 (Z/AC), (C/AC), adsorbents, respectively.

The Perlite-calcium Alginate-activated Carbon Composite as an Efficient Adsorbent for the Removal of Dyes from Aqueous Solutions

To remove dyes from wastewater, the perlite-calcium alginate–activated carbon (PCA) composite was prepared by a simple method. This composite was characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, and BET techniques. A high capacity of PCA was observed for the adsorption of some dyes such as methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solutions (1111 and 909 mg g-1). The best results were achieved at...

Removal of Congo red from aqueous solutions using nano-Chitosan

It is now recognized that adsorption using low-cost adsorbents is an effective and economic method for water decontamination. Chitosan is derived by deacetylation of the naturally occurring biopolymer chitin which is the second most abundant polysaccharide in the world after cellulose. In this study, the capacity of the chitosan nanoparticles was studied for the removal of the anionic Congo red...

Preparation and Characterization of Activated Carbon derived from olive stone as adsorbent for Congo Red

Carbon activated powdered was prepared from activated carbon derived from olive stone. Then byusing the surface methodology, many parameters such as pH, furnace temperature (T), acid ratio, time of activation that affect on the qualities prepared activated carbon produced and its efficiencywere investigated. In addition, the adsorption of Congo Red onto the activated olive stone carbonactive was...

A Novel and an Efficient 3-D High Nitrogen Doped Graphene Oxide Adsorbent for the Removal of Congo Red from Aqueous Solutions

The current study both synthesizes and uses four compounds of graphene oxide (GO), nitrogen doped graphene oxide (ND-GO), high nitrogen doped graphene oxide (HND-GO), and three dimensional high nitrogen doped graphene oxide (3D-HND-GO) in order to remove a model anionic dye, Congo red (CR) from wastewaters. It also compares their carbon nano-structure, with regard to removal efficiency and find...
